Does anyone here (except me) like Nobuo Uematsu?
Nobuo is a japanese componist, and he made most final fantasy soundtracks, and I LOVE HIS MUSIC. I have like 20 of his cds....Oh yeah, Nobuo plays in the band the Black Mages( and he made all the music).

I heard his music first when I was about 8 or 9....It was final fantasy 7, and I've been hooked ever since!
If you like Nobuo's music, what are your favourite songs?
Mine are:
Vamo Alla Flamenco
Aria de mezao
Melodies of Life
Aerith's theme
Place I'll return to one day
Suteki Da Ne
To Zanarkand

There is one more song, but I've forgotten it's name....Gotta look through my notebook :\

He's like one of my fav. composers of all time. I seriously think "one-winged angel" is one of the greatest pieces of modern music. But all in all..everything he's done is genious. He made video game music into an actual art...even with the very first final fantasy done for the pc. XD

For me Nobuo Uematsu is the Japanese equivalent to John williams. All the music he makes are easily recognized. Would have been cool if he had stayed with SE and continued composing for the FF series

Yes, he composed all songs from FF1 to FFX (maybe X-2) I also agree that the person who composed for 12 did a good job, but like you said, Uematsu can not be replaced.

Their latest CD, Darkness and starlight wasn't as good as i thought it would be. The only song I really liked was Darkness and Starlight, the 15min opera.

Nobuo Uematsu is like the freakin' king of instrumental music! I <3 To Zanarkand and Suteki Da Ne. I also liked Via Purifico and Someday The Dream Will End.

You guys should listen to these if you like instrumentals:
Still I Love You ~Music Box Version~ -HIKO
Lilium -Music Box Version- dunno
Thoughts Unarrived -HIKO
Yuna's Ballad - blah blah blah
Via Purifico- Nobuo Uematsu & blah
Eternity ~Memory of Lightwaves~ -blah blah
Summoned Beast Battle -Nobuo Uematsu?
